The Living Landscape

“The Living Landscape” is a dynamic organism shaped by interaction, expression, and renewal. At its core is re-sourcing—activating social vitality as a renewable force. The Salpausselkä Ridge becomes the spine and identity of the landscape, while key junctions act as social organs—sites of memory, movement, and encounter. These connected zones echo past and emerging interactions with the terrain, forming a living system where public life flows like lifeblood, sustaining a landscape that evolves and radiates beyond its bounds.

  1. It’s a clever idea where the different nodes/social junctions focus on stimulating an organ, this does justice to enhancing the sports area landscape in a very unique and different kind of approach. I really like the idea of reusing the railway tracks that goes to the mobility hub and info place. Also I like the 3D map for Wayfinding and especially the app is great for navigation during events. The pedestrian tori at the waterfront also seems great idea. Overall, I think the ideas in this project are great.
