Stormskärs Maja

Stormskärs Maja is an architectural concept which combines new ideas for an architectural system that can be implemented at different sites. In this preposition our case study focuses on the island of Pikkuniinisaari.

The aim of this proposal is to clearly improve the recreational use of the island. All of its functions are focused on a small site. By leaving the surrounding nature to its own peace, this proposal repairs the damaged and worn out natural areas and enhance biodiversity, protecting vulnerable and the sensitive nature and landscape from new wear caused by expanding recreational use, because again: what would be a bigger threat that the human to the harmony of the nature?
