Reconnection

Reconnection is a proposal that aims to link traditional farming to new ways of living. Our proposal uses urban planning and architecture to build a sustainable environment, by providing bio-diversity for nature, agriculture and society. Using locally rooted ways of doing, we want to give a possibility for local jobs and production, as well as offer a strong feeling of community.
Reconnection also aims to connect people to their immediate natural and historical surroundings.
Our housing blocks are inspired from traditional Finnish farms. They combine traditional dwelling and farming with modern technology to provide a human scale community, which can produce most of its own energy and food consumption.
By looking into tradition, we can use its strength to create the village of the future.
