Natur Genie
Focused on the unique maritime milieu of Helsinki’s eastern archipelago, our vision is to create a sustainable and innovative architectural system that improves the recreational use of the islands while preserving and enhancing the natural and cultural-historical sites, biodiversity and sensitive landscapes.
The aim is to enhance the visitors’ use of the islands while preserving the delicate ecosystem. To achieve this, we present an adaptable design concept with low-carbon prefabricated wood of bio-based insulated panels, offering a scalable solution which can be placed in harmony with the archipelago’s surroundings.
The informal design allows customization of the modules from the bird nest scale to the human shelter.
