Me the River
Me, the river wants to honour the natural circulation of water in the Vähäheikkilä area and beyond. By its water positive urbanism it wants to liberate the water flow allowing the water to express its natural behaviour. In turn water nourishes and animates dependant biotopes and the Vähäheikkilä neighbourhood.Me, the river aims to de-centre the human and recognise the humble part we play in the water cycle and beyond.The neighbourhood pilots a more circular way of living, aiming for self-sufficiency and locality within the area. Me, the river weaves together different social groups to a strong and healthy community with its diverse neighbourhoods united by strong identity, stormwater and the biodiversity it brings.
